Downtown Living Showcase

Amid all of the interest in Albany-area housing to feed to booming the tech sector, downtown has emerged as a hot spot.  Despite being a center for world-class dining and theatre, it hasn’t always been a popular place to live.  But redevelopment projects such as 17 Chapel Boutique Condominiums, the first luxury condominium project downtown, are meeting an increasing demand for downtown housing, including upscale properties.

To find out more about downtown Albany living options, check out the Downtown Living Showcase on Sunday, October 23, from 11am to 3pm.  Join City of Albany Historian Tony Opalka for Downtown History Tours or take a trolley ride around Downtown Albany’s historic streets.

Come visit recently developed apartment and condominium units including two properties never before open to the public, and the newly completed 17 Chapel condominium project. Picture yourself in a beautifully remodeled space that offers urban luxury and convenience. Downtown Albany is more than just a world-class dining, arts, and entertainment destination, it’s a vibrant and growing neighborhood, including 120 new residential units under construction.

The event kicks off at Tricentennial Park at Broadway and Columbia Sts. The $5 admission fee includes tour access and a Downtown Living Guide. For more information and to register, see the Downtown BID website.
