As a real estate landlord and development company for over 35 years, The Rosenblum Companies appreciates that our business practices, including selection of construction materials, waste management and energy consumption, impact the environment in many ways.  That’s why we’re committed to seeking out and implementing more sustainable solutions that benefit our clients and greater community.

The Rosenblum Companies worked with NYSERDA, ChargePoint and PlugIn Stations Online to install new Leviton electric vehicle charging stations at our Great Oaks (200 Great Oaks Blvd, Albany) and Corporate Plaza (286 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany) office parks, each of which can fuel two vehicles at a time.

Last year, Governor Cuomo unveiled Charge NY, an initiative spearheaded by NYSERDA and the New York Power Authority to develop a a statewide network of up to 3,000 public and workplace charging stations over the next five years.  In May, the Governor announced a Multi-State Zero-Emission Vehicles Action Plan, establishing a goal of 3.3 million zero emission vehicles on the road by 2025 in eight member states.

Tenants can use the electric vehicle charging stations at Great Oaks and Corporate Plaza for free but will first need to set up a ChargePoint account, which also provides access to over 15,000 stations on ChargePoint’s network, as well as the ability to find charging spots from a mobile phone and track personal fuel and greenhouse gas savings.
