ACCVB also operates the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center and Henry Hudson Planetarium in downtown Albany, as well as the Albany International Airport Information Center.

“These professionals are an excellent addition to our board. Each new board member brings a wealth of experience and talent to this organization, and we are looking forward to working with them to enhance Albany’s reputation as a great destination,” said Michele Vennard, President and CEO of the ACCVB.

“ACCVB not only promotes Albany as an attractive destination for business and leisure, but provides numerous, largely complimentary services to visitors that increase competitiveness on a national and global scale,” said Mirel of his appointment.  “I look forward to working with my fellow board members and the outstanding team at ACCVB on elevating awareness, activity and pride in the region’s world class offerings, including our robust creative and cultural heritage economy.”

Mirel also currently serves as the President of the Board of Albany Barn, Inc., an organization he founded that operates a creative arts incubator located in downtown Albany called The Barn, and on the executive committee of the Upstate Alliance for the Creative Economy.
