Creating a Comfortable, Sustainable Rooftop Experience at Industrie Apartments
The rooftop patio on our all-electric apartment building, Industrie, is one of our most popular amenities. But because Industrie is zero-emission, we could not use a traditional fire pit to keep residents comfortable on cool nights under the stars. So, we rolled up our sweater sleeves and sought out an electric alternative that could provide the same functionality and ease of use. Enter Bromic’s Eclipse Portable Heater!
Bromic recently did a case study about our use of its portable heater at Industrie Apartments. Learn more about how we’re sticking to our sustainability goals while extending rooftop season for our residents in the summary below, or read the whole case study from Bromic here.
The Rosenblum Companies, developers of Industrie, Albany’s first all-electric and zero-emissions multifamily building, sought a way to extend the use of the building’s popular rooftop patio into the cooler months without compromising sustainability. Traditional gas-powered heaters were not an option, so they turned to Bromic’s Eclipse Smart-Heat™ Portable Heater.
This fully electric infrared heater provides efficient warmth within an 11-foot radius and includes integrated LED lighting, aligning with the building’s eco-conscious design. It was the only solution that met Rosenblum’s performance, aesthetic, and environmental standards.
Residents have responded enthusiastically to the added comfort and ambiance. The project demonstrates how sustainable technologies like the Eclipse heater can enhance the resident experience while supporting zero-emissions goals in multifamily housing.
