A Fresh Fusion at Industrie Apartments: New Restaurant, Itameshi, Now Open

The Rosenblum Companies is proud to welcome Itameshi, Albany’s first Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant, to the ground floor of Industrie Apartments at 745 Broadway in downtown Albany.

Developed and co-owned by veteran restaurateurs Mike Pietrocola of Pastina and Dave Zheng—owner of Sake Café, Graney’s Bar & Grill, and Tanpopo Ramen & Sake Bar — Itameshi draws inspiration from a genre of fusion cuisine popularized in Japan in the 1990s. The name itself is a Japanese term for “Italian food,” and the restaurant reimagines classic Italian dishes using Japanese ingredients and techniques.

One of our goals for developing Industrie Apartments was to create another connection point linking the downtown core and Warehouse District. The lynchpin was finding an operator for our street level retail space who could create a dynamic new neighborhood destination. We couldn’t be happier that Dave and Mike, two highly respected operators with decades of experience between them, chose our property for Itameshi and fully embraced an all-electric kitchen in our all-electric building.

The restaurant features seating for approximately 80 guests, a full bar serving specialty cocktails, and a menu that includes squid ink spaghettini with uni sauce and tobiko, wagyu meatballs, miso salmon with purple rice, udon noodle bolognese—and more. Itameshi is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. or later, with happy hour running from 4 to 6 p.m. For more information and to view the full menu, visit www.ItameshiAlbany.com and follow @ItameshiAlbany on Facebook and Instagram.
