We are excited to announce that The Rosenblum Companies’ very own Ben Oevering has been selected as one of the Albany Business Review‘s “40 Under 40” for 2020 from over 250 nominations! This recognition is given each year to forty promising professionals under the age of 40 in the Albany area who are actively shaping our region’s future for the better through their professional work and community service.
As Controller, Ben directs accounting, human resources, and office operations but his role also encompasses developing strong internal controls to support growth, spearheading financing efforts, providing crucial support for new projects, and ensuring that the company continues to go above and beyond for its employees; Ben has taken a leadership role in helping build a culture that earned the company a “Best Places to Work” title from the Albany Business Review the past two years.
Outside work, Ben is an active board member for the Community Loan Fund of the Greater Capital Region and a councilperson for the Town of Schoharie, as well as an advisory member for the Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corporation (SEEC), Schoharie’s new economic development arm. Ben lives in Schoharie and operates a hobby farm in his free time.
This year’s “40 Under 40” class also includes three tenants of The Rosenblum Companies:
- Charlotte Guyton, owner of Bard & Baker, the Capital Region’s first board game café located on the first floor of The News Apartments.
- Chris Tocin, risk data analytics and automation manager at M&T Bank; Chris is based at M&T Bank’s regional headquarters located in Great Oaks Office Park.
- Justin Riccio, senior vice president of Alliant Insurance Services, also located at Great Oaks.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating the accomplishments of Ben, Charlotte, Chris, Justin and their esteemed colleagues in the “40 Under 40” Class of 2020 at the official Awards Ceremony Luncheon on Friday, May 8th, at the Albany Capital Center. Click here to purchase tickets.
