Ecovative CEO to Speak at CIREB event
Eben Bayer, CEO and Co-Founder of Ecovative Design, will speak at a CIREB (Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Brokers) Marketing Session hosted by The Rosenblum Companies at Great Oaks Office Park on June 8th.
Ecovative is a leading biomaterials company growing high performance, premium, award-winning products that are safe, healthy, and certified sustainable. Bayer, who grew up working on his family’s Vermont farm, pioneered the leveraging of mycelium—”nature’s glue”—in Mushroom® Materials to drive sustainable innovation in the industrial sector. Using biology to upgrade existing products and processes, Ecovative has commercialized products into multiple industries including home compostable protective packaging; a formaldehyde-free core for engineered wood & insulation; and eco-friendly furniture; as well as GIY (grow-it-yourself) materials for innovators, students, and educators.
Bayer uses biology to solve important environmental challenges by growing safe and healthy new materials as well envisioning creative ways to use natural technology at industrial scales and in consumer applications. He has shared his vision for a future powered by biology around the world, including presentations at TED Global, PopTech, and Davos. The Rosenblum Cos. is the first commercial property owner to feature Ecovative’s unique MycoBoard and MycoFoam acoustical wall tiles, incorporating large scale arrangements of “Weave Tile” designed by Harry Allen of Harry Allen Design NYC in the main lobbies of all three buildings at Great Oaks Office Park, as well as “Sinewave” designed by Ken Lush of Ecovative, and “QuarterTurns” designed by Jeff Betts, also of Ecovative, in newly renovated tenant lounges. Bayer will speak about this new product line, the development and diversification of Ecovative’s manufactured goods, and growing a business in the Capital Region.
The event will also feature an installed vignette by Accent that showcases a variety of office design options.
