Completion of Exit 3 Brings Welcome Improvements to the Wolf Road Area
We are only a few months away from the expected completion date of the new Exit 3 on the Adirondack Northway. This is good news for travelers who will now have a direct route to Albany International Airport as well as office tenants and patrons of retail businesses located on and around Wolf Road who will soon enjoy a substantial estimated reduction in traffic.
How substantial? According to the Department of Transportation, we can expect afternoon traffic around the Wolf and Albany Shaker Road intersection to be reduced by more than 50 percent, while morning delays will decrease by around 30 percent (as reported by the Albany Times Union).
Exit 3 Plus Ongoing Investments in the Wolf Road Corridor
In 2016, The Rosenblum Companies purchased 187 Wolf Road and 1, 2, and 3 Winners Circle, four well-located, but outmoded office buildings that circle the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road. We are thrilled that our subsequent modernization and beautification of these properties coincides with NYS’s improvements, as well as numerous other ongoing investments in the Wolf Road corridor. These investments include new places to have a cup of house-roasted coffee or enjoy authentic Mexican food.
In early 2020, local chef and restauranteur, Jaime Ortiz (677 Prime), will open Toro Cantina at 111 Wolf Road, the former home of Wolff’s 1-11. According to Ortiz, Toro Cantina will combine offerings like scratch-made tortillas, lamb barbacoa, and carnitas using the whole pig with a green guacamole bar, unique tacos, and desserts. Toro Cantina will also have several large dining spaces and a banquet room that seats 100. Meanwhile, independent coffee roaster/bakery/café and Wolf Road mainstay, Professor Java’s Coffee Sanctuary, is moving down the road from its current location at 217 Wolf Road to a larger space in the Shoppers Park at Wolf Road.

Wolf Road has one of the region’s best selection of hotels, restaurants, businesses, shopping, and high-quality housing all within walking distance. The Rosenblum Companies is proud to be a part of the Wolf Road area business community. We are excited that our tenants will benefit from these most recent enhancements.
