Join The Rosenblum Companies and the Albany Chapter of the U.S. Committee for Refugees by Donating New and Gently Used Blankets, Coats, Boots, Hats and Gloves in Your Building’s Lunchroom

Refugee families from Burma, Iraq, Bhutan, Sudan, Congo, and similar warmer climates around the world start new lives in the Capital Region each year. Many families are from parts of the world without snow or harsh winters. The Albany Chapter of the U.S. Committee for Refugees (USCRI) collects donations of blankets, coats, boots, hats and gloves to ensure that our new neighbors will stay warm during their first winter in the U.S. In the spirit of your wonderful and generous support of those families impacted by Hurricane Sandy last winter, we invite you to once again to join The Rosenblum Companies (in partnership with USCRI) in this critical community effort to help our neighbor families adapt successfully to our local Capital Region winters.

Starting this week and throughout the winter, collection boxes for these needed items will be available in your building’s lunchrooms (100, 200, and 300 Great Oaks Office Park, 14 Columbia Circle and 286 Washington Avenue Extension in Corporate Plaza). As the holiday shopping season progresses, please consider donating both new and gently used (and clean) blankets, coats, boots, hats and gloves – any items you donate will make a significant difference to these neighboring families!

These items will be continuously collected and delivered to USCRI all winter. For more information on USCRI, please visit their website at www.refugeesalbany.org.

As always, we appreciate your support of our local families. Thank you for being part of The Rosenblum Companies Caring Community!
