Rosenblum Development Corp (RDC) is a premier developer and full-service owner-operator of a growing portfolio of diverse properties totaling over 1.5 million square feet. We have enjoyed the opportunity to bring talented individuals to the team as the organization has grown and are now looking to add a skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to the team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO is responsible for the strategic alignment of fiscal and organizational priorities, oversight of the company’s investment and financial strategy, compliance, accounting and back office operations.
The CFO operates with a broad and deep understanding of the organization’s strategic plan, while working to proactively ensure that company objectives are achieved, with a direct focus on scaling up the company’s internal resources to support portfolio growth while protecting company core values and mitigating financial and operational risks.
Specific responsibilities of the CFO include, but are not limited to:
Works collaboratively with company leadership team to align required resources, metrics and reporting with goals and decisions, and drive organizational priorities.
Prepares and analyzes financial models for acquisition, development and leasing transactions
Manages capital strategically; procures and negotiates equity, debt and incentive/grant financing, maintains relationships and assures compliance.
Maximizes the quality and timeliness of financial reporting to leadership team, investors, and lenders.
Guides internal treasury, purchasing and financial controls companywide; ensures financial processes are audit-ready.
Leads tax strategy and compliance efforts in cooperation with outside CPA firm and accounting team.
Manages enterprise risk, including insurance procurement and agent/carrier relationship management, safety, security and contract document compliance.
Maximizes effective use of company ERP, management and reporting platform(s) in partnership with IT and product managers.
Maintains, assimilates, and communicates up-to-date industry information best practices in real estate finance, business and risk management, etc.
Represents the Company positively and professionally in interactions with investors, clients, vendors and the community at large.
All other roles and responsibilities as required.
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in applicable field. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
Minimum 7-10 years related experience and/or training including financial, managerial and operations experience.
Experience in real estate development and management with expertise in closely-held businesses.
Advanced knowledge of real estate financial terms, principles and investment modeling. Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret financial terms of lease documents, property purchase/sale contracts and construction contracts.
Technologically savvy, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including financial modeling and the use of advanced functions in Excel.
Demonstrated competency in evaluating, adopting and/or implementing new software systems on an enterprise level. Experience with Yardi Voyager or other enterprise property accounting software preferred.
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve departmental deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, written communication and conflict resolution skills with a professional, respectful and positive presentation style.
Ability to effectively present information and provide timely, reliable, courteous service to internal and external customers.
Strong initiative, work ethic, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
